This study aimed to evaluate the effects of breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis) starch concentration as an edible coating material and storage duration at 25 °C on the physical and chemical quality of tomato fruit. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with a combination of breadfruit starch concentrations of 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%, and 6%, and storage durations of 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 days. The observed parameters included vitamin C content, weight loss, total soluble solids, texture, and pH. The results showed that breadfruit starch concentration and storage duration significantly affected vitamin C content, weight loss, and total soluble solids, but had no significant effect on texture and pH. The best treatment was obtained at a breadfruit starch concentration of 6%, which maintained the highest vitamin C content, minimized weight loss, and resulted in a lower final total soluble solids value compared with the other treatments. This study aimed to analyze the effects of the size and ratio of peanuts and coconut dregs on the physical (color), chemical (water content and crude fiber), and sensory characteristics of snack bars. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors: the first factor is size of the coconut dregs (coarse and fine). The second factor was the ratio of coconut dregs to peanuts (15:85, 20:80, and 25:75 g/g). The analysis carried out on the snack bar was water content, fiber content, color (L*, a*, b*, whiteness index and browning index), sensory analysis (taste, color, aroma and texture) and hedonic. The results showed that the size of coconut dregs and the ratio of coconut dregs: peanuts did not affect the water content, b*, aroma, but did affect the fiber content, L*, a*, browning index, sensory taste, color, texture and hedonic. The 25:75 g ratio of coarse coconut dreg to peanuts had the highest preference score, with water and fiber contents of 4.51% and 17.52 %, respectively. The browning index of the snack bar with the highest preference score was the lowest. The coarse coconut dreg had a browning index of 28.80. The study employed a quantitative method with an associative approach. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to 31 respondents who had previously purchased the product, selected using purposive sampling techniques. The research instruments were tested for validity and reliability, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. Prior to hypothesis testing, classical assumption tests were conducted to ensure the suitability of the regression model. The results showed that packaging design and product presentation simultaneously had a significant effect on purchasing decisions. However, partially, packaging design did not have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. In contrast, product presentation had a positive and significant effect and became the most dominant factor influencing consumer purchasing decisions. The coefficient of determination indicated that the model had a moderate explanatory ability, suggesting that other factors outside this study also influenced consumer purchasing decisions. In conclusion, purchasing decisions were more influenced by the visual appearance of product presentation than by packaging design itself. However, the declining demand for dried turmeric simplicia indicates a mismatch between the characteristics of the products offered and consumer preferences. This study aimed to analyze consumer preferences for dried turmeric simplicia attributes using conjoint analysis. The study was conducted using a full-profile approach by distributing questionnaires to 40 respondents, consisting of home industry business actors, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and herbal industries. The analyzed attributes included price, moisture content, payment system, and color. The data were analyzed to obtain the utility value and relative importance of each attribute. The results showed that price was the most influential attribute in consumer decision-making, followed by payment system, moisture content, and color. The most preferred attribute combination was dried turmeric simplicia with a moisture content of <8%, a price of IDR 35,000.00-40,000.00, full upfront payment, and bright yellow color. Consumer preferences for dried turmeric simplicia were multidimensional and influenced by a combination of product attributes. This study aimed to implement the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) method in the design of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for post-harvest handling of ginger (Zingiber officinale) to improve the quality of ginger simplicia at Sabda Rempah MSME. This study used a one-factor completely randomized design (CRD), namely drying temperature and duration, consisting of four treatments: 70 °C for 6 h, 40 °C for 9 h, 50 °C for 9 h, and 60 °C for 9 h. Each treatment was repeated three times, resulting in 12 experimental units. The differences between ginger post-harvest handling with and without SOP implementation were found in the wet sorting, draining, and dry sorting stages. The results showed differences in moisture content between ginger simplicia processed with and without the SOP. Ginger simplicia processed using the SOP had a moisture content of 9.47%, whereas ginger simplicia processed without the SOP had a moisture content of 13.86%. Sensory evaluation showed that ginger simplicia processed with the SOP had better color, aroma, and texture than those processed without the SOP. Moisture content data were analyzed using ANOVA, followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) when significant differences were found. In addition, a paired samples t-test was used to compare moisture content between the treatment without SOP at 70 °C for 6 h and the treatment with SOP at 60 °C for 9 h. However, its productivity still faces several constraints, particularly the limited application of optimal cultivation technologies. Booster Murni technology was developed as an innovation to stimulate flowering and fruiting in longan, thereby increasing crop productivity; however, its adoption level among farmers remains varied. This study aimed to analyze the effects of innovation attributes and socio-economic factors on the adoption level of Booster Murni among longan farmers in Moyudan and Minggir Kapanewon, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The study was conducted from December 2025 to May 2026 using a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. The entire population of 30 farmers using Booster Murni was selected as respondents through a census method. Data were collected using questionnaires. The results showed that the innovation attributes of Booster Murni were in the high category, with an achievement level of 80%, while the adoption level reached 83.7% and was also classified as high. Simultaneously, socio-economic factors and innovation attributes had a significant effect on the adoption level. Partially, only compatibility and observability had positive and significant effects on the adoption level, whereas age, education, land area, relative advantage, complexity, and trialability had no significant effect. The regression model explained 81.7% of the variation in adoption level. UPJA plays an important role in supporting agricultural mechanization; however, its management still faces various internal and external constraints that affect business development. This study aimed to identify the internal and external factors influencing the performance of UPJA Barokah, formulate business development strategies using SWOT analysis, and determine priority strategies using the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) method. The study was conducted from November 2025 to April 2026 using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, participatory observation, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and documentation. Data were analyzed using the IFAS, EFAS, SWOT, and QSPM matrices. The results showed that the total IFAS score was 2.29 and the EFAS score was 2.56, placing the organization in Quadrant III. This condition indicates that UPJA Barokah has considerable development opportunities but still faces internal weaknesses that need to be improved. Based on the SWOT matrix, the prioritized strategy was the Weakness–Opportunity (WO) strategy. This study examined consumer acceptance of a retort-processed RTE prototype made from snakehead fish (Channa striata) and tempeh. The study used an experimental approach with three formulations based on the ratio of snakehead fish to tempeh, namely F1 (80:20), F2 (60:40), and F3 (40:60). Seventy-five semi-trained panelists evaluated color, aroma, texture, taste, and overall acceptance using a five-point hedonic scale. Hedonic data were analyzed using the Friedman test, while Kendall's W was used to describe the effect size. The F2 formulation achieved the highest mean scores for all attributes, including color (3.82), aroma (3.65), texture (3.71), taste (3.94), and overall acceptance (3.78). The Friedman test indicated differences among formulations in aroma, texture, taste, and overall acceptance, while color showed no difference. These findings suggest that a 60:40 ratio of snakehead fish and tempeh provides the most acceptable sensory profile. The practical contribution of this study is the identification of a local protein-based RTE formulation that can be further developed for food diversification. Although the group has adequate production capacity and good technical skills, the marketing of KWT Menur products still faces several constraints, particularly limited digital promotion and weak product brand identity. This study aimed to analyze internal and external factors, formulate an online marketing strategy through Facebook, and develop a community empowerment design to strengthen the marketing capacity of KWT Menur. This study employed a mixed-methods approach with an embedded design. Data were collected from 25 respondents through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Data were analyzed using the IFAS, EFAS, SWOT, and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) matrices. The results showed that the group’s internal condition was strong, with an IFAS score of 2.902, while the external environment was supportive, with an EFAS score of 2.976. These results placed KWT Menur in Quadrant I, indicating an aggressive growth strategy. The QSPM analysis showed that the main priority strategy was strengthening the branding of environmentally friendly products, with a Total Attractiveness Score (TAS) of 7.516. This study aimed to determine the agronomic characteristics of three local krai cucumber accessions as a basis for selecting potential accessions. The study was conducted from December 2025 to March 2026 at the Karangsari experimental field, Sleman, Yogyakarta, at an altitude of approximately 200 m above sea level. The study used a one-factor randomized complete block design (RCBD), consisting of three local krai cucumber accessions, namely CBT-246 Lamongan, CBT-248 Sidoarjo, and CBT-267 Rembang, with six replications. The observed parameters included fruit weight per plant, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plot, number of fruits per plot, fruit length, fruit diameter, leaf blade length, leaf blade width, flowering time, and first harvest time. Data were analyzed using ANOVA at the 5% significance level, followed by Tukey’s HSD test at α = 0.05. The results showed that the three accessions differed significantly in fruit weight per plant, fruit length, fruit diameter, leaf blade width, and flowering time. Accession CBT-267 Rembang showed superior performance in the highest fruit weight per plant, reaching 841.72 g, the greatest fruit length, reaching 39.42 cm, and the earliest flowering time, at 22.00 days after planting (DAP). Meanwhile, CBT-246 Lamongan had the largest average fruit diameter, at 5.78 cm, and the widest leaf blade, at 17.90 cm. Based on these results, CBT-267 Rembang has potential as a promising accession for the selection of long-fruited types with high fruit weight per plant. This study employed a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires administered to 40 farmers. The research data were supported by secondary data from the Agricultural Extension Center (Balai Penyuluhan Pertanian, BPP) of Dlingo Kapanewon. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 26. The statistical tests included the coefficient of determination test, t-test, and F-test. The results showed that extension materials, extension media, and extension methods simultaneously influenced the adoption of environmentally friendly rice cultivation. Partially, extension media showed a negative effect because the use of social media, particularly WhatsApp, had not been optimized for disseminating short tutorial videos. This condition caused information on environmentally friendly rice cultivation to be inaccessible continuously and in real time by farmers. This study aims to identify the drivers of change influencing Aloeland’s development within a circular economy framework, providing a foundation for future scenarios and adaptive strategies. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with zero waste principles, using in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, participatory observation, and literature review. Data were analyzed through the PESTLE framework (political, economic, socio-cultural, technological, legal, environmental) to capture relevant external factors. Findings reveal that political drivers include government policies on community-based tourism and zero waste programs; economic drivers emphasize business diversification and value-added aloe vera by-products; social drivers are supported by community participation and youth involvement; technological drivers involve AI, IoT, and waste-processing innovations legal drivers highlight cooperative legality and herbal product standardization; environmental drivers stress adaptation to climate crises and resource conservation. This study aimed to estimate the shelf life of fermented cassava dodol using the Accelerated Shelf-Life Testing (ASLT) method with a critical moisture content approach and moisture sorption isotherm curve. The research stages included the determination of initial moisture content, critical moisture content, and equilibrium moisture content, as well as sorption isotherm modeling using the Chen-Clayton, Henderson, Halsey, Caurie, and Oswin models. Critical moisture content was determined based on the acceptance level of semi-trained panelists regarding product appearance during storage at a relative humidity (RH) of 76%. The results showed that the initial moisture content and critical moisture content of the product were 0.2205 and 0.2427 g H₂O/g solids, respectively. The obtained moisture sorption isotherm curve exhibited a Type II sigmoid pattern. Based on the evaluation of the Mean Relative Deviation (MRD) value, the Henderson model provided the best fit, with an MRD value of 3.7. Shelf-life calculation using the Labuza equation resulted in an estimated shelf life of 64.07 days, or approximately two months, under room temperature conditions. The availability of high-quality raw materials strongly depends on successful cultivation, including the use of appropriate growing media. This study aimed to examine the effects of various growing media formulations on the growth and yield of Japanese mint as a raw material for Cucumint functional beverage. The study was conducted from November 2025 to June 2026 at the Teaching Factory (TEFA) Garden, Sempu, Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta. A one-factor randomized complete block design (RCBD) was used, consisting of four growing media treatments: P1 (soil + solid organic fertilizer derived from rabbit manure), P2 (soil + solid organic fertilizer derived from rabbit manure + cocopeat), P3 (soil + solid organic fertilizer derived from rabbit manure + rice husk charcoal), and P4 (soil + solid organic fertilizer derived from rabbit manure + leaf compost). Each treatment was replicated six times. The observed variables included plant height, number of branches, number of leaves, and fresh leaf weight. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% significance level. The results showed that growing media formulation significantly affected all observed variables. Treatment P3 produced the best results, with a plant height of 26.617 cm, 10.39 branches, 84.83 leaves, and a fresh leaf weight of 5.983 g at 35 days after planting (DAP). Therefore, the growing medium consisting of soil, solid organic fertilizer derived from rabbit manure, and rice husk charcoal at a ratio of 1:1:1 was the most promising formulation for improving the growth and yield of Japanese mint as a raw material for Cucumint functional beverage.</p>2026-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Sekar Sari, Siwitri Munambar, R R Siti Astuti
