This community service activity is motivated by the low level of digital technology utilization among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in terms of promotion and online business location mapping. The purpose of this activity is to provide assistance to MSME actors in Kedungbako Village in creating and managing Google Maps as a digital promotional tool. The methods used include socialization, training, and direct mentoring through a participatory approach and hands-on training. The activity began with observation and identification of participants’ needs, followed by training on creating Google accounts, registering business locations, and managing business profiles. The results show that approximately 80% of participants successfully created and registered their businesses on Google Maps and were able to manage their business information independently. In addition, there was an increase in participants’ understanding of the importance of business digitalization and the use of digital platforms to expand market reach. This activity has a positive impact on improving the digital literacy of MSME actors and enhancing business visibility in the digital era. Therefore, this assistance is expected to support the strengthening of MSME competitiveness at both local and broader levels.

This community service program was conducted in response to the low level of self-confidence among orphanage children, particularly in their public speaking abilities. Preliminary observations at the Ahbaabul Mukhtar Orphanage in Semarang indicated that many participants experienced anxiety, lacked confidence to perform, and had limited ability to express ideas in a structured and communicative manner. Therefore, this program aimed to enhance self-confidence through a structured and participatory public speaking training. The implementation consisted od several stages, including observation, orientation, material delivery, practice sessions and evaluation. The training materials covered fundamental aspects of public speaking, such as vocal control, articulation, intonation, body language and anxiety management techniques. The learning process was supported by ice-breaking activities and direct practice to increase participant engagement. The result indicated that a significant improvement in participants’ self-confidence, as reflected in their increased willingness to perform in public, improved ability to respond to questions systematically, and more effective use of nonvrebal communication. Additionally, the program contributed to strengthening social interaction and fostering a positive environtment within the orphanage. However, time limitations affected the depth of material delivery. Therefore, follow-up programs are necessary to ensure the sustainability of the outcomes. Overall, the public speaking training proved to be an effective approach to improving self-confidence among orphanage children.

Cross-cultural understanding and international insight have become crucial to study in the era of globalization, both through formal and non-formal educations. Such learning serves as a strategic endeavor to equip learners to handle contemporary challenges, both as individuals and as social beings. In this regard, this community service aims to introduce and provide an understanding of how education in Japan is implemented, particularly regarding character education. This program was conducted at SMAS Pondok Pesantren Modern Nurul Ikhlas, with participants being grade 5 students (equivalent to grade XI). By introducing the character education practiced in Japan, it is hoped that students' characters will be strengthened and they will gain an understanding of global cultural diversity. The method used in this program was an interactive lecture between the students and the presenters. The activity was conducted in an orderly manner, and the students showed great enthusiasm throughout the session. The materials provided consisted of the Bushido principles—which are part of the history of character education in Japan—as well as character education in schools, at home, in society, and in the work environment. The activity concluded with a Q&A session where rewards were given to students who could answer the presenters' questions. Through this program, it is hoped that students will adopt positive Japanese cultural values to enhance their soft skills.

This Community Service activity aims to improve the understanding of Rehoboth Christian Middle School students in Ambon regarding marine debris, its sources, and its impact on marine organisms through an interactive educational approach. Ambon Bay, as a semi-enclosed body of water, faces a serious problem in the form of accumulated plastic waste, most of which originates from land-based activities. The activity was carried out through a presentation-based socialization, pre-test, discussion, and post-test. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in three main aspects: understanding marine debris, waste sources, and how to reduce it, from 53–63% in the pre-test to 100% in the post-test. The material provided emphasized the local context of Ambon Bay, including waste sources, its ecological impact on biota, and prevention efforts in the school environment. This activity succeeded in raising ecological awareness and encouraging concrete actions such as sorting waste, reducing single-use plastics, and maintaining a clean environment. This program has proven effective in fostering environmental awareness from an early age.

This community service activity aims to enhance congregational musical competence through training in the construction and performance of bamboo flutes based on a tonal system in Maneoratu Village, Central Maluku. The activity is motivated by the predominance of intuitive practices in making and using bamboo flutes without standardized tuning, which limits musical development in worship contexts. The method employed is a qualitative participatory approach through hands-on training involving participants in instrument construction, playing techniques, and basic accompaniment skills for congregational music. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding of tonal systems, skills in constructing and playing bamboo flutes, as well as increased participation and social interaction within the community. Furthermore, the activity contributes to transforming musical practices from intuitive traditions toward more systematic and structured approaches. Therefore, this training provides not only technical benefits but also contributes to cultural strengthening and the enhancement of congregational musical quality.

This community service program was conducted in Nagari Kumango, Sungai Tarab District, Tanah Datar Regency, focusing on empowering beneficiaries of the Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) through a socio-cultural approach. The program was motivated by the low level of public understanding regarding the purpose of social assistance, the increasing trend of digital-driven consumptive behavior, and the high vulnerability to online loans and online gambling. The objective of this program was to enhance community awareness and capacity in managing social assistance wisely while strengthening socio-economic resilience. The methods applied included socialization, participatory education, group discussions, and mentoring based on local Minangkabau cultural values. The results indicate an improvement in community understanding in distinguishing between needs and wants, better household financial management, and increased awareness of digital consumption risks. The socio-cultural approach proved effective in strengthening community solidarity and participation. Therefore, integrating local cultural values is a crucial strategy in achieving sustainable community empowerment in the digital era.

Consumption of sugar-sweetened packaged beverages among elementary school children continues to increase and may contribute to various health problems, including kidney damage. Limited knowledge regarding the health risks of sugary beverages is one of the factors contributing to high consumption among children. This community service program aimed to improve students’ knowledge about the dangers of packaged sugary drinks on kidney health through health education activities conducted at SD Ar-Ridha, Biru-Biru District, Deli Serdang Regency. The activity was carried out on November 23, 2024, involving 30 elementary school students. The methods used included interactive lectures, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test questionnaires. Educational materials covered types of sugary packaged beverages, added sugar content, kidney function, the effects of excessive sugar intake, and kidney disease prevention efforts. The results demonstrated an increase in participants’ knowledge levels after the educational intervention. The percentage of students categorized as having good knowledge increased from 20.0% during the pre-test to 80.0% during the post-test, while the poor knowledge category decreased from 46.7% to 3.3%. These findings indicate that interactive health education methods are effective in improving students’ understanding of the importance of limiting sugary packaged beverage consumption to maintain kidney health from an early age.

The problem of plastic waste has become a global crisis due to its difficult to decompose naturally and the practice of burning it is hazardous to health. In response to this problem, Sriwijaya State Polytechnic together with the Kojartis Palembang Learning House community held a community service activity through Ecobrick making training as a creative solution for plastic waste management. This community service is important to equip the community at the Kojartis Palembang Learning House with innovative solutions in the form of ecobrick methods to support the zero waste movement. The method used is a participatory approach that includes theoretical counseling on waste sorting, technical training on making ecobricks with a density standard of 0.33–0.7 g/ml, and the diffusion of science and technology through the transformation of ecobricks into functional furniture. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participant awareness, where participants who were initially unfamiliar with ecobricks are now able to process household plastic waste into useful products such as educational tables. These results conclude that ecobrick training is not just training, but also creates innovative learning media that increases students' collective awareness of environmental sustainability.

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has brought significant changes to higher education. Empowering students to use AI responsibly has become an essential step in improving the quality of learning at the university level. This study aims to explore how AI can serve as an effective supporting tool in the learning process, particularly in the field of history, which requires deep analytical and interpretive skills in working with historical sources Through a training program for fourth-semester students of the History Education Study Program, participants were equipped with a foundational understanding of AI and guidance on applying it ethically and critically in historical source analysis and academic writing. Students were also trained to use AI for historical research, paper writing, research question formulation, and information verification to ensure academic accountability The program employed a participatory approach covering three stages: AI theory introduction, hands-on practice, and mentoring with evaluation. Results showed a significant improvement in students' understanding of AI, their ability to use it wisely, maintain academic integrity, and enhance the quality of history learning. Responsible AI use was also found to foster the development of critical and analytical thinking skills among students Students gained not only technical competencies but also ethical awareness regarding the boundaries of AI use to uphold academic honesty. This study recommends that higher education institutions integrate AI literacy training into their curriculum, enabling students to navigate the digital era in a more informed, critical, and responsible manner.

The waste issue in Batang Regency is still a serious problem that has not been resolved to this day. The problem is that the availability of final waste disposal sites is not comparable to the waste production produced. Therefore, this situation creates an imbalance where the increasing waste production is not accompanied by an adequate expansion of waste disposal areas. Most of the waste in Batang Regency comes from household waste. Therefore, in response to this reality, the most possible thing to do is to carry out household-based awareness control. The community service method used in this paper uses a household waste management education model through the village government. Meanwhile, the village targeted for this community service is Karanganom Village, where coincidentally at the time the community service was being held, a Real Work Lecture was being held. This community service involved components of the community service team starting from a team of lecturers who collaborated with students participating in the Real Work Lecture. The results of the community service show that the Karanganom Village Government agrees that the community must have knowledge of household waste management. Their existence is the first step to controlling waste. Public enthusiasm increased when several places were provided with garbage disposal bin facilities so that they were able to select and sort the garbage that had to be managed and that which had to be thrown in the trash.

The development of digital technology requires students to possess basic skills in utilizing technology creatively and productively, including creating simple websites. However, most students still do not understand the basic process of website development. This community service activity aimed to provide training on creating profile websites using HTML with the assistance of Visual Studio Code for class 9 students at SMP Xaverius Maria Palembang. The methods used in this activity were community education and hands-on training through material presentation, demonstrations, independent practice, discussions, and evaluations. The results showed that participants were able to understand the basic structure of HTML and follow the process of creating simple websites properly. In addition, participants showed high enthusiasm during the activity and began to understand the fundamentals of simple website development. This activity provided new experiences for participants and helped improve students’ knowledge and interest in the field of information technology.

Teacher performance management through the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM) requires teachers to plan work-result targets, implement professional development activities, and upload evidence of performance in a documented manner. This community service article aims to describe the mentoring process for fulfilling teachers' Work Result Plans (RHK), strengthening school-based learning communities, and facilitating the upload of performance evidence at SDN Sonraen, Amarasi Selatan, Kupang Regency. The activity used a participatory mentoring method conducted in four sessions from October 2024 to January 2025. Data were collected through attendance records, observation notes, PMM access monitoring, documentation of community-of-practice activities, and recapitulation of teacher performance predicates. The mentoring stages included identification of PMM access, assistance in selecting RHK indicators, facilitation of learning-community activities, upload of performance evidence, and final evaluation. The results show that eight teachers fulfilled RHK requirements with a 100% achievement rate. Two teachers obtained the Excellent predicate and six teachers obtained the Good predicate. The learning community also produced good-practice sharing on teaching modules, clinical supervision, and coconut-based learning media. The program indicates that structured mentoring supported by principal leadership and collegial collaboration can improve teacher readiness in using digital performance-management systems.

The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Kismoyoso Village, Boyolali, widely known for their traditional herbal medicine, aimed to diversify their product offerings to foster long-term development. This initiative focuses on creating sustainable product concepts designed to establish a robust local supply chain and build partnerships among residents, thereby increasing community consumption expenditure and stimulating the village's internal economic turnover. Catfish was selected as the core ingredient due to its high nutritional value and versatility in various food products and snacks. Consequently, the MSME members—primarily local women—embraced the idea of developing catfish sticks and catfish meatballs as their new flagship products. To facilitate this, a community service team from the Faculty of Business, Setia Budi University, conducted a comprehensive training program. The training utilized five distinct methods: direct explanation, demonstration, hands-on practice, discussion/Q&A sessions, and product evaluation. Through active participation in each stage, the trainees successfully produced catfish sticks and meatballs, establishing them as viable processed snack products ready to drive the future growth of MSMEs in Kismoyoso Village, Boyolali.

This community service program aimed to internalize humanistic values and strengthen social cohesion at Ahbabul Mukhtar Orphanage in Semarang through sharing activities. The implmentation method consisted of several stages, namely observation, coordination, sharing activities, reflection, and evaluation. A humanistic approach was employed, positioning participants as the primary subjects in the learning process. The results demonstrated that sharing activities and direct interactions between the organizing committee and participants contributed to strengthening social cohesion, as evidenced by increased togetherness, empathy, and emotional connectedness among the children. Furthermore, the program successfully fostered humanistic values that positively influenced the participants’ character development. Therefore, this community service initiative proved effective in supporting the psychological and social development of orphanage children. Similar programs are expected to be continuously developed as a sustainable effort to nurture a generation characterized by strong self-confidence, effective communication skills, and a high level of social awareness.

Hypertension is widespread and constitutes a primary cause of mortality worldwide. Hypertension is a degenerative disease caused by uncontrolled lifestyle choices that lead to health problems and death. Age is a risk factor for hypertension and is common in older adults, due to decreased tissue elasticity and thickening, which ultimately increases cardiac output. The objective is to assess the efficacy of a blend of sambiloto, turmeric, and kencur herbal tea on the blood pressure of elderly people. This method was applied using an observational approach by measuring the blood pressure of 9 elderly respondents and residents of Cigugur Girang RW. 04 Village before and after consuming herbal tea containing extracts of sambiloto, turmeric, and kencur. Blood pressure measurements were taken using an aneroid sphygmomanometer after the respondents had rested to ensure they were relaxed. The data were recorded and analyzed descriptively to observe changes in blood pressure individually and in groups. The findings were analyzed to evaluate the efficacy of the herbal tea in lowering blood pressure as a preventive measure and treatment for hypertension. The assessment also considered various other aspects which could influence the outcomes, such as health status, eating habits, level of physical activity, and consistency in consuming herbal tea. This activity was part of a series of KKNT programs aimed at empowering the community through the use of natural ingredients.

The material presented included an introduction to various types of digital media used in education, how to use applications for online learning, the use of educational videos, techniques for finding reliable learning resources, and an understanding of ethics and security when using digital media. The activity was conducted interactively through demonstrations, discussions, and practice using existing digital tools. The results showed an increase in students' knowledge and skills in using digital media as a learning resource. In addition, students became more motivated to study independently, were able to access various online learning materials, and had a better understanding of using digital media wisely and productively. The enthusiasm of the participants was evident in their ability to integrate digital technology into religious and general education lessons. Overall, this community service activity has had a positive impact on improving the quality of student learning in the digital era. It is hoped that training programs like this can be implemented continuously in the future as a first step toward developing a technology-based learning system in Islamic boarding schools.

This community service activity was conducted at SMPN 1 Pamboang to introduce PATAGI (Geometry Transformation Board) as an interactive learning medium for geometry transformation material. The main problem identified was that students still experienced difficulties in understanding the concepts of translation, reflection, rotation, and dilation because the material was considered abstract, and learning activities were generally carried out in a conventional manner. The implementation methods included preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages through socialization, demonstrations, direct practice, group discussions, interactive quizzes, and questionnaire distribution. The results showed that the use of PATAGI helped students understand geometry transformation concepts in a more concrete and visual manner. Students became more active, enthusiastic, and confident in solving problems directly using the provided learning media. In addition, PATAGI created a more interactive and engaging learning atmosphere. Based on the evaluation and questionnaire results, both students and teachers gave positive responses to the use of PATAGI in mathematics learning.

Island regions face various challenges in maternal health services, including limited access to healthcare facilities, shortages of health workers, transportation barriers, and geographical conditions that contribute to delays in the management of obstetric complications. This community service activity aimed to improve knowledge regarding childbirth preparedness and the prevention of pregnancy complications through education and assistance. The methods used included health education sessions and leaflet distribution to pregnant women. The target participants were pregnant women in the second and third trimesters, along with their families. The results showed an increase in pregnant women’s knowledge regarding danger signs during pregnancy, the importance of antenatal care, childbirth preparation, and emergency referral planning. This activity is expected to enhance pregnant women’s readiness for childbirth and reduce the risk of maternal complications in island areas.

Phubbing behavior among adolescents has increased alongside growing smartphone use in daily life. Adolescents are particularly vulnerable to social interaction disruptions caused by this behavior, especially in school settings that demand active engagement and effective interpersonal communication. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of self-monitoring-based psychoeducation in reducing phubbing behavior among 10th-grade students at SMA Ekayana Dharma Budhi Bhakti. A quantitative pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test post-test approach was applied to 25 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Generic Scale of Phubbing (GSP) and Snyder's Self-Monitoring Scale, then analyzed using a Paired Sample T-Test in SPSS. Results indicated a significant improvement in students' self-monitoring ability (p = 0.030), with mean scores increasing from 27.88 to 30.20. Phubbing behavior decreased from 34.20 to 30.76, though not statistically significant (p = 0.053). Self-monitoring-based psychoeducation effectively enhances self-awareness and shows strong potential in reducing adolescent phubbing behavior.

The education activity titled “Let’s Protect Fish Habitats, Beautiful Rivers Without Waste” was conducted at SD Negeri 23 Lubuk Lagak with the aim of improving students’ knowledge and awareness of environmental cleanliness, particularly rivers as fish habitats. The methods used included educational video screenings, interactive material delivery, and educational games to enhance student engagement. The evaluation was carried out through pre-test and post-test assessments. The results showed a significant improvement, with the average score increasing from 70.71 in the pre-test to 89.28 in the post-test. Observations also indicated that students were highly enthusiastic and actively participated throughout the activity, demonstrating improved understanding of fish types, the impacts of pollution, and the importance of maintaining river cleanliness. Support from the school also contributed to the success of the program. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of educational videos and games is an effective strategy in enhancing environmental awareness and understanding among elementary school students.

The partner in this community service activity was the Sekajau Mandiri Goat Farming Group, located in Solor Medan Hamlet, Sumber Harapan Village, Sambas Subdistrict. The main problem faced by the partner was the lack of technology to process goat manure into organic fertilizer. Until now, this livestock group has relied on traditional methods of managing livestock waste. Through this community service activity, efforts were made to solve the problem by applying technology in the form of a livestock manure shredder. The stages of this activity included the manufacture of the machine, testing its capacity, training in operation and maintenance, handover of the livestock manure shredder, and evaluation of the community service results. The livestock waste shredder provided to the partners has a capacity of 167.4 kg/hour. This activity has impacted the partners by increasing the production capacity of their manure fertilizer. The partners can accelerate the production cycle, reduce labor costs, and increase the volume of manure fertilizer available for sale.

Methodologically, the project adopts a descriptive quantitative design, gathering primary data via direct observation, structural interviews, and archival documentation. The analytical framework categorizes internal capabilities alongside external environmental dynamics affecting the enterprise. The empirical findings reveal that Seblak Teh Ida Braga Bandung benefits from robust core strengths, including a unique flavor profile, budget-friendly pricing, and a highly accessible storefront location. Conversely, its operational vulnerabilities stem from inadequate online marketing and constraints in manpower. Externally, the business can capitalize on a rising consumer appetite for fiery culinary items and the expansive reach of social platforms for promotion. However, it must also counter substantial headwinds from market saturation by direct competitors and volatile consumer preferences. Ultimately, the strategic roadmap derived from this matrix highlights the necessity of upgrading digital outreach, preserving core product integrity, introducing innovative menu options, and widening market distribution to secure long-term viability and competitive advantage.

The 2026 Special Impact Community Service Program (KUKERTA) from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Riau, came to provide integrative solutions through three main programs: digitalization of MSMEs, processing of organic compost and Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC), and enjoyable science tutoring. The method used during this service was a participatory approach through socialization, demonstrations, and direct mentoring. The results of the activities showed increased digital visibility for several local MSMEs, the formation of community understanding in converting kitchen waste into more useful things, and increased enthusiasm of elementary school students for science learning. This program succeeded in building an empowerment ecosystem that synergizes economic, environmental, and educational aspects towards a more independent and prosperous Suak Lanjut Village community.

This community service activity aimed to improve the understanding and interest of twelfth-grade SMA/SMK/MAN students in Kolaka Regency toward the Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Science as an alternative choice for higher education. This activity is based on the still limited information among students regarding educational and career prospects in forestry and environmental fields, despite their important role in supporting sustainable development. The activity was conducted through educational outreach methods, including interactive presentations, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and dissemination of information related to study programs, scholarship opportunities, and career prospects for graduates. The participants were twelfth-grade students from several senior high schools and vocational schools in Kolaka Regency. The results indicated an increase in students’ understanding of the importance of forestry and environmental sciences, as well as higher motivation to consider the Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Science for undergraduate study. Therefore, this activity was considered effective in encouraging students’ interest in pursuing higher education in forestry and environmental sciences.

Pelatihan Public Speaking sebagai Upaya Pengembangan Soft Skills Guru dan Siswa English Club

This community service program was conducted to improve the communication skills and self-confidence of teachers and English Club students at a junior high school in Sidoarjo through English public speaking training. The main challenges faced by the partner institution included low self-confidence when speaking in public, limited opportunities to practice speaking, and insufficient understanding of effective basic public speaking techniques. The program was implemented through several main stages: (1) the delivery of introductory material on public speaking, (2) training on opening and closing speech techniques, (3) pronunciation and intonation practice, (4) presentation simulations and English speech performances, and (5) the provision of feedback and mentoring throughout the activities. The results indicated an increase in participants’ active engagement, confidence in expressing their ideas in public, and ability to prepare and deliver simple speeches in English. In addition, the program enhanced participants’ motivation to develop their English communication skills more actively and continuously. This public speaking training program demonstrates that practice-based activities supported by mentoring can contribute to the development of communication-related soft skills among teachers and English Club students.

Workshop Penggunaan Teknologi Digital sebagai Media Pembelajaran di SDN 3 Rejo Binangun

The rapid advancement of digital technology requires teachers to develop competencies in utilizing various educational applications to enhance the quality of teaching and learning processes. However, many teachers have not yet optimally integrated digital technologies into English language instruction and student creativity development. The Community Service Program aimed to improve teachers’ knowledge and skills in utilizing Duolingo as a platform for English language learning and Canva as a tool for fostering student creativity, supported by the use of a smart board. The program was implemented through workshops, demonstrations, hands-on training, and mentoring sessions. The participant are 11 teachers and 18 students. The program effectiveness was evaluated using pre-tests, post-tests, observations, and questionnaires. The results indicated a significant improvement in teachers’ knowledge, increasing from 27.27% in the pre-test to 81.82% in the post-test. Teachers’ skills in using Duolingo and Canva also improved substantially, rising from 36.36% to 100%. Furthermore, all participating teachers demonstrated a strong interest in integrating digital technology into their teaching practices and expressed a willingness to collaborate in developing technology-based learning media. Participant satisfaction reached 90%, indicating that the program successfully addressed the needs of both teachers and students. Overall, the program contributed to strengthening teachers’ digital competencies and promoting more interactive, engaging, and creative learning environments.
