Open Defecation (OD) remains a sanitation issue in Tanamon Village, East Amurang District, South Minahasa Regency. This situation is driven by low community awareness regarding sanitation, long-standing generational habits, and limited access to sanitary latrines. This community service activity aimed to enhance community knowledge regarding Pillar 1 of Community-Led Total Sanitation (STBM) to support behavioral change towards eliminating open defecation. A participatory education method with a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed. The activity involved 30 participants selected through purposive sampling. Education was delivered via interactive lectures, discussions, and Q&A sessions, utilizing visual aids to cover topics such as the dangers of open defecation, environmental pollution, environmental-related diseases, the use of sanitary latrines, the F-Diagram concept, and the Open Defecation Free (ODF) status. Evaluation was conducted using knowledge questionnaires administered before and after the educational intervention. The results demonstrated an improvement in community knowledge levels following the intervention. The proportion of participants in the "good" knowledge category rose from 40.0% to 50.0%, and the "fair" category increased from 10.0% to 30.0%, while the "poor" knowledge category decreased from 50.0% to 20.0%. The most significant gains in understanding were observed regarding the definition of open defecation (50.0%), the impact of helminth infections (43.4%), pollution caused by feces (36.7%), and the F-Diagram concept (36.6%). These findings indicate that STBM Pillar1 education is effective in improving community knowledge regarding sanitation and the prevention of environmental-related diseases. Sustained educational activities involving village authorities, health volunteers, and community leaders are expected to reinforce behavioral changes, ultimately leading the village toward Open Defecation Free (ODF) status.

Immunization is an important effort in improving immunity and preventing various infectious diseases in children. According to World Health Organization (WHO) data in 2022, the number of children who have not received immunizations globally is 14.3 million children. The purpose of this outreach activity is to increase the knowledge of students of SD Negeri 88 Kendari regarding the importance of immunization and evaluate the effectiveness of education. This activity method consists of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation, through interactive lecture activities accompanied by immunization demonstration media, ice breaking through videos and ranking 1 games involving 30 fifth grade students. The evaluation was carried out using a pre-test and post-test, then analyzed using a paired t-test. The results showed an increase in the average knowledge score from 82.33 before education to 96.00 after education, with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05). This increase indicates that the combination of interactive lecture, ice breaking, and ranking 1 methods in improving students' understanding of immunization. In conclusion, education about immunization is very effective in increasing students' knowledge and awareness regarding the importance of immunization as a disease prevention effort.

Penguatan Keterampilan Kepemimpinan Transformasional dalam Meningkatkan Budaya Organisasi di SMK Bintang Nusantara Tangerang Selatan

This article discusses efforts to strengthen transformational leadership skills to enhance organizational culture at SMK Bintang Nusantara. Digital advancements have brought significant changes to organizations across various sectors, including education. Transformational leadership remains a highly relevant model for navigating the challenges of digitalization. However, the prevalence of such leadership models has not been matched by a corresponding strengthening of organizational culture among students. Consequently, many students lack a sense of leadership. Therefore, a community service initiative was undertaken to strengthen transformational leadership skills and improve organizational culture at SMK Bintang Nusantara, South Tangerang. The initiative employed a participatory lecture and outreach approach, attended by over 40 participants. The results indicate an improvement in transformational leadership skills fostered through organizational culture. Prior to the activity, the students showed little regard for leadership qualities or the influence of organizational culture; however, following the session, they began to recognize the importance of leadership in driving innovation, enhancing organizational performance, and improving adaptability within the organization.

Livestock is one of the key sectors supporting Indonesia’s food security and rural econnomy, yet it remains highly vulnerable to Stategic Infetious Animal Disease (PHMS) outbreaks, particularly Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD). This article aims to describe and analyze the role of the Animal Health Center (Puskeswan) under the Jember Regency Food Security, Livestock, and Fisheries Office (DKPPP) in controlling animal disease outbreaks as an effort to protect farmers’ economic assets. The activity was carried out through a Field Work Practice (PPL) using a descriptive qualitative approuch with a case study strategy, employing participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation study. The result show that Puskeswan carries out its four core functions, prevention, early detection, rapid response, and vaccination, in an integrated maner through the Integreted Animal Health Servive (Yankeswandu) program, which provide treatment, vaccination, disease surveillens to hundreds of livestock across several villages, alongside a long-term genetic quality improvement program through Red Brahman cattle development. This service proved effective in reducing farmers’ treatment costs, although the FMD outbreak also left psycological truma that made some farmers reluctant to restock their pens. The main supporting factor was cross-institutional collaborating, while the main obstacle was farmers’ low compliance with officers’ recommendations. This study recommends strengthening sustained persuasive education and expanding servive coverage to further strengthen farmers’ economic recilience in Jember Regency.

This Community Service Program (PkM) was designed to optimize the Capital Market Gallery at Al Kifayah Campus as a learning facility for investment and as a support center for opening stock investment accounts among local communities and students. The program was conducted through capital market education, an introduction to stock investment, guidance on RDN registration, practical sessions using digital investment applications, and direct assistance for participants. The activities provided participants with practical knowledge and experience in registering investment accounts and utilizing digital investment services. This program is expected to strengthen participants’ capital market literacy, improve their awareness of investment risks, and enhance their ability to use investment applications safely and responsibly. Furthermore, the Capital Market Gallery at Al Kifayah Campus is expected to develop into a sustainable investment education center that can serve both students and the surrounding community.

Limited practical learning resources in the renewable energy field at SMKN 1 Gunung Sindur have resulted in a learning process heavily focused on theory, preventing students' practical understanding and skills from developing optimally. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance students' knowledge and skills through training on the use of a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) trainer kit as an interactive learning tool. The implementation method encompasses preparation, the presentation of material regarding PLTS components and operating principles, a demonstration of the trainer kit, group practice, mentoring, and evaluation through discussion and Q&A sessions. The results indicate that the training successfully improved students' understanding of PLTS operating principles and component functions, as well as their skills in assembling, operating, and measuring electrical parameters such as voltage and current. Thus, the use of the PLTS trainer kit serves as an effective learning tool to support practice-based learning and enhance student competence in the renewable energy sector.

Lake Meduyan is a potential tourist attraction and public space with ecological, social, and economic value for the community. However, the lake's littered condition and lack of public awareness of environmental cleanliness have led to a decline in the area's quality. Through the Community Service Program (KKN), students, along with the village government and community, implemented Lake Meduyan revitalization activities through three main programs: mass mutual cooperation, the Meduyan Expo, and the provision of trash bins. The implementation method used a participatory approach, involving all elements of the community from the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The results of the activities indicate a cleaner environment at Lake Meduyan, increased public awareness of waste management, and increased community enthusiasm through the Meduyan Expo, which served as a promotional tool for local tourism potential. This program demonstrates that collaboration between students, the village government, and the community can create a cleaner, more comfortable environment and support the sustainability of the Lake Meduyan area as a village tourism destination. A community-based, participatory approach is an effective strategy for supporting the success of environmental revitalization.

The problem of household waste in RT 21, Dukuh Tegalrejo, Karangpakel Village, Trucuk District, Klaten Regency is caused by low public awareness of waste segregation and the limited availability of waste management facilities. As a result, inorganic waste with economic value, such as plastic bottles and cups, has not been utilized optimally, and some residents still practice open burning of plastic waste. This community service program aimed to implement a community empowerment-based waste bank program to enhance environmental awareness among local residents. The implementation employed a community empowerment approach consisting of five stages: problem identification, participatory planning, program implementation, mentoring, and evaluation. The activities included socialization and education on waste segregation, the construction and installation of ten bamboo waste bins at strategic locations, the establishment of a waste bank management committee, and the handover and official inauguration of the program to the community. The results demonstrated an increase in residents' knowledge and participation in sorting and depositing inorganic waste into the waste bank, accompanied by greater awareness of the economic value of plastic waste. The program contributed to the development of more organized waste management practices within the community. However, its long-term sustainability requires continued commitment from the waste bank management, local residents, and the village government.

Earthquakes are sudden natural disasters that require preparedness education from an early age, including for Indonesian children studying at Sanggar Belajar Selangor, Malaysia. This community service program aimed to improve children's knowledge and earthquake preparedness through the use of the "Ayo Siaga Gempa!" booklet combined with an earthquake evacuation simulation. The program was conducted in June 2026 and involved 10 children as participants. An educational-participatory approach was implemented through three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Participants' knowledge was assessed using 10-item multiple-choice pretest and posttest questionnaires, while practical skills were evaluated through direct observation during the simulation. The results showed that the mean knowledge score increased from 58 in the pretest to 88 in the posttest, representing an improvement of 30 points. Observations also indicated that all participants were able to correctly perform the Drop, Cover, and Hold On procedure, follow the evacuation route in an orderly manner, and reach the designated assembly point safely. These findings demonstrate that booklet-based education combined with practical simulation is an effective approach to improving children's earthquake preparedness and has the potential to be implemented sustainably in Indonesian learning communities abroad.

Hypertension, one of the non-communicable diseases that is often undetected in its early stages, is one of the main causes of the increase in morbidity and mortality rates in society. This is due to the lack of public awareness regarding regular blood pressure checks and the implementation of a healthy lifestyle. The aim of this community service activity is to increase public knowledge and awareness about the importance of recognising, preventing, and controlling hypertension through health education for the community. The method of the activity was carried out with a participatory approach through health counselling, distribution of educational media, and interactive conversations with the community. The results of the activity show that the community has a better understanding of the risk factors for hypertension and the importance of a healthy lifestyle to prevent hypertension. During the event, the community was very enthusiastic. This activity shows that health education can directly increase public awareness about the prevention and control of hypertension. This is expected to reduce the risk of non-communicable disease complications in the community.

The use of solar power plants (PLTS) as a renewable energy source in Indonesia continues to grow, but the development of these skills at the vocational education level is often hindered by a lack of practical training facilities. This issue is faced by SMKN 1 Gunung Sindur in Bogor Regency, where students and teachers already possess a basic theoretical understanding of solar panels but lack consistent access to adequate practical training resources. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to bridge this gap through the design, implementation, and training using a solar power plant trainer kit. The implementation methods included analyzing the partner’s needs, developing a solar power system (PLTS) trainer kit with an off-grid battery charging system using solar panel components and monitoring instruments, preparing practical lab guide modules, and conducting technical training and mentoring for teachers and students. The result of this community service activity was the implementation of the PLTS trainer kit as a representative interactive learning tool at the school. An evaluation of the activity showed an improvement in participants’ conceptual understanding and psychomotor skills in operating the system, measuring current-voltage characteristics, and analyzing the charging efficiency of the solar power system. The availability of this trainer kit has successfully created a more contextual vocational learning environment (hands-on learning) and supports the school’s autonomy in conducting sustainable renewable energy practical training.

This community service activity aims to empower MSME operators involved in catfish farming and processing in Ngampel Village, Balongpanggang Subdistrict, Gresik Regency, through integrated mentoring that covers strengthening entrepreneurship, financial management, digital marketing, and the development of product packaging and labeling. The activity was held on May 24, 2026, using a participatory approach that combined outreach, training, and hands-on guidance (learning by doing), with 15 participants from the Ngampel Village PKK (Family Welfare Movement) and the SME partner Zea Zhafira Persada. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants’ understanding, with the average pre-test score of 53.7 rising to 84.9 on the post-test—a 58.3% increase. The highest improvement was observed in the area of digital marketing at 73.1%, followed by financial management and cost of goods sold (COGS) at 59.1%, packaging and labeling at 56.1%, and entrepreneurship at 47.0%. The outputs generated included a simple business plan based on the Business Model Canvas, financial record-keeping templates and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) calculation forms, an active WhatsApp Business account with a digital product catalog, and new packaging and label designs for marinated catfish and catfish katsu products. This initiative demonstrates that an integrated training approach combined with hands-on practice is effective in enhancing business management capacity and the competitiveness of MSMEs based on local fisheries potential.

Reduced flexibility is one of the common age-related changes that may affect functional mobility and independence in older adults. Flexibility screening is therefore important as a promotive and preventive strategy to support healthy aging. This community service program aimed to identify flexibility among older adults using the Sit and Reach Test and provide physiotherapy education for participants of the Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis) in Bulu Sub-district. The program was conducted in 2026 and involved 105 older adults aged ≥60 years. Flexibility was assessed using the Sit and Reach Test, followed by physiotherapy education on stretching exercises and regular physical activity. The results showed that 70.4% of participants were classified as Excellent, 24.1% as Good, 5.6% as Moderate, and none as Poor. These findings indicate that most participants had good flexibility. Flexibility screening combined with physiotherapy education may serve as an effective promotive and preventive strategy to maintain functional mobility, increase awareness of physical activity, and support the quality of life of older adults.

For Generation Z, who are closely connected to technology and social media. However, Generation Z's understanding of Sharia financial institution products and services still needs strengthening, particularly regarding product characteristics, contracts , benefits, risks, and transaction mechanisms. This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge and understanding of Generation Z university students regarding Sharia financial institution products through the use of an educational digital platform. The activity employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, comprising stages of situational analysis, problem identification, solution planning, social engagement, training implementation, and evaluation. The target audience consisted of Generation Z students from STAI Darussalam Lampung. Implementation involved delivering material, introducing the platform, usage training, hands-on practice, discussions, and evaluating participant understanding. The results indicate an improvement in participants' understanding of the diversity of products and services offered by Sharia financial institutions. Participants were also able to utilize the digital platform to access and comprehend information on Sharia finance. Thus, digital platforms can serve as a relevant supporting medium for enhancing Sharia financial literacy among Generation Z.

Tourism villages are one of the drivers of local economic development based on natural potential, culture, and community creativity. Tenjolaya Village in Pasirjambu District, Bandung Regency, has considerable potential in nature-based tourism, culinary heritage, and educational tourism; however, the utilization of digital technology for tourism promotion has not been fully optimized. This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of village officials and BUMDes administrators in developing visual storytelling content based on websites and QR code technology. The program was implemented using a participatory training approach, hands-on practice, and mentoring. Activities were carried out through preparation, socialization, training implementation, and evaluation stages. The results indicate an increase in participants’ understanding of the use of digital media as a communication tool for tourism villages. Participants responded positively to the program and expressed expectations for continued mentoring in developing digital tourism content. The use of visual storytelling through websites and QR code technology has the potential to increase the attractiveness of tourism villages and support the development of the local creative economy.

Indonesian language teachers at the junior high school (SMP) level in the digital era are required to be able to create technology-based learning media. However, observations at the MGMP Bahasa Indonesia SMP Kabupaten Bekasi indicate that the use of multimodal media remains fragmented, and teachers struggle to create websites, which they perceive as requiring complex programming skills. This community service activity aims to improve teachers' digital competencies through training in creating simple AI-based learning websites using the Canva AI Code platform, employing a hands-on approach that includes needs identification, workshops, mentoring, and pretest-posttest evaluation. The activity was conducted face-to-face at Gedung Guru Metland, South Tambun Selatan, Bekasi Regency. The results showed that participants experienced improved understanding and skills in integrating multimodal media and utilizing AI to create learning content, as evidenced by 56% of participants achieving score improvements, with the average score increasing from 77.50 in the pretest to 87.59 in the posttest (an increase of 10.09 points). In addition, 100% of participants were able to produce simple learning websites, as demonstrated by their portfolio of work. These outcomes encourage a transformation in teachers' roles from passive technology users to creative and innovative digital learning content creators through the MGMP forum.

Processed-food micro, small and medium enterprises form an important pillar of the rural economy. A large share of them, however, still lack formal product legality in the shape of a halal certificate. The phased introduction of mandatory certification under Government Regulation No. 42 of 2024—fully applicable to micro and small food and beverage products by October 2026—has made this gap increasingly critical. The community-service program reported here set out to raise awareness of the value of halal certification among MSME operators in Basin Village, Kebonarum Sub-district, Klaten Regency, to assist them in assembling the necessary documents, and to guide them through the application procedure. Participatory Action Research was chosen so that the entrepreneurs themselves acted as partners rather than passive recipients. Work proceeded in four consecutive stages: baseline mapping and problem diagnosis, regulatory and procedural outreach, practical support in preparing documents (including Business Identification Numbers), and submission via the SiHalal platform. Carried out between 22 June and 31 July 2026 during the university community-service period, and involving students together with the Halal Study Center, the program located 16 MSMEs; six of them ultimately obtained both a Business Identification Number and an official halal certificate. The experience indicates that continuous, hands-on mentoring can close knowledge and administrative shortfalls while reinforcing product legality and competitive standing of village-level enterprises.

Advances in digital technology have made cell phones an important part of children’s lives, including as a means of communication, learning, and accessing information. However, uncontrolled cell phone use among elementary school-aged children has the potential to affect their study habits, physical activity, social interactions, sleep quality, and physical and psychosocial health. On the other hand, children’s understanding of cellular network technology, radiofrequency waves, and the healthy and responsible use of cell phones still needs to be improved. This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge, awareness, and attitudes of students and teachers regarding the wise use of cell phones while prioritizing children’s health and development. The activity was held at SDIT Al-Firdaus in Banjarmasin and targeted sixth-grade students, teachers, and school administrators. The methods used included health education, interactive presentations, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and reinforcement of healthy cell phone usage habits. The material covers an introduction to 4G and 5G network technologies, basic concepts of radiofrequency waves and electromagnetic exposure, setting limits on cell phone usage, keeping devices at a safe distance from the body, taking breaks from screen time, and the importance of balancing digital activities, learning, physical activity, rest, and social interaction. The program also reinforces for teachers and school administrators the importance of guidance and fostering a healthy culture of digital literacy. This community service initiative is expected to raise students’ awareness of the importance of using technology in a positive and responsible manner, as well as to encourage schools to play a role in creating an educational environment that supports children’s health and development. This initiative also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly quality education, good health, and the development of human resources capable of adapting to technological advancements.
