Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Media Ilmiah Kesehatan Indonesia only publishes papers written in Indonesia and English
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor). Submissions must only be made online.
  • The submission file is in Document file format (.doc or .docx) for the manuscript and file format .pdf for author declaration, following the author guidelines and article template. Please make sure that you use Mendeley or other tools to help in referencing. Where available, URLs or DOIs for the references must be provided, and try to use the most up-to-date references. Following the author guidelines and article template.
  • Authors are discouraged from withdrawing submitted manuscripts after it is in the publication process (review, copyedit, layout, etc.,). During the time, Media Ilmiah Kesehatan Indonesia had spent valuable resources besides time spent in the process.
  • Enter your WhatsApp (WA) number in the comments field to make it easier for the editor to contact you.

Author Guidelines

The manuscript is an original article that has never been published before. It is not in the process of being published by other journals. Submission must be made online only.

Manuscript Writing Format. The manuscript should be as short as possible, with the abstract no more than 250 words. The manuscript of the original research should be written in no more than 8,000 words (including tables and pictures), or proportional to articles in this publication number. The manuscript must be written in Indonesian (recommended) or English under the condition: the type of font is Bookman Antiqua 11 pt (only for Abstract 10 pt), in a single column, 1.15 spacing, 2.5 cm border, layout size A4 with 29.7 cm height and 21 cm width. With dimensions: Top 2 cm, Bottom 2 cm, Right 2 cm, Left 2 cm, Gutter 0 cm using Microsoft Office Word programs and similar software.  The manuscript should be arranged in the following sections and appear in order: TITLE OF MANUSCRIPT (no more than 20 words), ABSTRACT (no more than 250 words), KEYWORDS (arranged from A to Z), 1. INTRODUCTION, 2. METHODS, 3. RESULT AND DISCUSSION, 4. CONCLUSION, 5. ACKNOWLEDGMENTS (optional) and 6. REFERENCES.

TITLE should be concise and as informative as possible.

ABSTRACT contains brief and clear information about the background of the research/study, the objectives of the research/study, the methods used, the results of the research/study, and the conclusions. If needed, you can add a policy recommendation (optional). The abstract should must less than 250 words and minimum of 200 words for the Indonesian abstract.

INTRODUCTION begins by concisely and clearly explaining the research background, problem formulation, theoretical framework, and research objectives in Standard Indonesian. Subsequent paragraphs usually explain the literature study by including sources (footnotes) that contain the latest state-of-the-art developments from the field in which they are involved as well as those related to the problem or topic of the research/study. The last paragraph is usually associated with a description of the research or study objectives to be achieved.

METHODE is usually described in detail and clearly regarding the location and time of the research/study, explaining the type of research method (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-method), accompanied by details of the method of taking/collecting data and the method of data analysis used, if the method used is previously known, a reference must be included.

RESULT AND DISCUSSION should not be separated. The results obtained based on the methods used are stated. Avoid the presentation of raw data and double presentation (e.g., tables and graphs). Every mean value of the data was given a standard deviation. All the data given in the results should be presented in tables or graphs, although some results may be given solely in the text. A discussion can be made by comparing the results/data reported with previously published research results. The results were interpreted rather than repeated. The similarities, differences, and uniqueness of the findings should be highlighted.

CONCLUSION are described briefly and clearly referring to the main points of discussion and the ability to articulate the main findings answering the objectives to be achieved. It should be written as a paragraph, not as a list.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS (optional) must only be written if the research is supported (costs, facilities, and personnel) by the relevant agency or institution, the research sponsor, the names of those wholly involved in the research, and the words are high.

REFERENCES. Most of the references come from current scientific journals (80% published in the last 10 years) and the number of cited references complies with the limits this journal sets (around 15 minimum). References for citation writing use the APA citations style (American Psychological Association 7th edition) and it is recommended to use the Mendeley application
