Abstract

Financial literacy is one of the essential life skills that ideally should be taught from an early age. The phenomenon of consumptive behavior among children often occurs due to a lack of understanding about managing pocket money and prioritizing needs versus wants. This community service activity aims to instill understanding and motivation for saving in children at Elementary School (SD) 07 in Kelurahan Bajak, Bengkulu City. The program was conducted for 60 minutes with a child-centered educational approach. The implementation methods included delivering interactive materials, introducing self-saving media, as well as Q&A sessions and interactive quizzes with prizes. The results of the activity showed a very enthusiastic response from participants and an increase in children's basic understanding of the benefits of setting aside part of their pocket money for savings. Through this activity, it is hoped that children will be able to develop smart, independent, and future-oriented financial habits.
